Controlauto has acquired Prevencontrol

Controlauto, a Portuguese international group that leads the vehicle technical inspection (ITV) sector, but is not present in Spain, has agreed to acquire Prevencontrol, a company that provides regulated concessional services in Catalonia.

Controlauto is owned by Brisa, an infraestructure multinational, and Portobello Capital, a private equity fund.

Oquendo Corporate has acted as the financial advisor to the international group in the implementation of its strategy of entering the Spanish market through acquisitions, participating in the analysis of the Spanish market with the objective of identifying potential candidates, in the preliminary analysis and contact with the potential target companies, as well as in the due diligence, and contract negotiation.

The transaction has been signed but its closing is still pending.
